The European Water Tech Week (EWTW2018) is set to take place in Leeuwarden from 24 to 27 September. This event will bring together leaders in innovation, science, technology and policy from businesses, universities and public authorities in de water technology sector. The program is brimming with activities! Interactive theme sessions, inspiring key note speakers, matchmaking, a networking and exhibition area, water tech tours, the grand final of the Water Alliance Innovation & Stimulation Award (WIS) and many more are part of the program.

Multiple hubs in one place: How water hubs provide business opportunities
Uniting various water hubs from all over the world form the building blocks for this year’s event and this will reflect in the plenary program. Monday afternoon we will kick-off the discussion with Sally Gutierrez (US-EPA), presenting the development of different water clusters in the USA and the need to coordinate these initiatives. This presentation is followed by short presentations from 7 water hubs around the world; introducing their unique features.

On Wednesday afternoon we will have a moderated on stage discussion between the water hubs and the audience. This discussion will focus on how water hubs provide business opportunities for their partners and how partners from other water hubs can benefit.

WIS Award ‘The Pitches and the Grand Final
This prestigious award was initiated by the Water Alliance to promote innovative Dutch water technologies. The annual competition celebrates its fifth anniversary during the European Water Technology Week 2018 in Leeuwarden! Again 10 new Dutch candidates are nominated by the Water Alliance to battle for first place. All candidates will pitch their technology on the main stage. Be part of the public jury, join us and have a say in who will be the winner of our prestigious award. When?

10 Dutch candidates will pitch their technology on the main stage.
Wednesday September 26: WIS Award: The Grand Final.
5 Finalist will pitch their technology and the winner is selected by a jury of experts.
